I'm thinking of getting the 2024 Equinox EV. Anyone know if it comes with the NACS port when you buy it? I'm totally hooked on Tesla's superchargers because they charge my CT super fast.

I don't think so. It's been confirmed that the Launch Edition will use the CSS1 port so it's likely the standard Equinox will follow suit and not come with the NACS port.

You're right. Also, safely charging electric vehicles using NACS and J1772-CCS requires entirely different methods. Merging these two systems into one would be extremely expensive.

When I test-drove the 2024 Equinox EV 3RS, it came with the standard CCS port. GM has announced that starting in 2025, their EVs will include the NACS port, so it’s likely the 2024 models will rely on an adapter for Tesla Supercharger access. I’ve used Tesla chargers with adapters on other EVs, and while charging speeds are solid, having native NACS is definitely more convenient.

Great choice with the Equinox EV! Unfortunately, the 2024 Equinox EV sticks with the CCS1 port, so no direct Supercharger love for now unless you use an adapter. Hopefully future models or updates will offer more NACS compatibility!
