’m curious about the amperage draw of the 240 charger. Does anyone have this information? I’m trying to make sure my home setup can handle it properly.

2024 Equinox EV comes with a dual-level charge cord with flexibility for both home and public charging. While the included cord supports up to 7.7 kW, you also need to know that the EV itself can handle higher charging speeds of 11.7 kW on a 50A circuit. This means you might want to consider upgrading your home charging setup or utilizing DC fast charging stations for quicker charging times, especially if you frequently take longer trips.

Thanks for the info! I’ll check my home setup to see if it supports a 50A circuit for the faster 11.7 kW charging.

I have a ChargePoint level 2 charger. You can set its charging current to whatever you want. I originally set it to 40 amps, the recommended amount. Since I don't drive very much I set it to 30 amps, lower charging current lengthens battery life. I don't know how important that is but since I have the time to charge I'll leave it at that setting.
