As cool as that feature sounds, I don’t think Chevy included tap-to-check battery level on the Equinox EV. Most EVs that have it are higher-end brands like Lucid or Tesla. Best way to check is through the MyChevy app or when you unlock the car.

Haha, same here! Not sure which trims have that feature, but it's definitely not in mine

I haven’t seen that feature either. Sounds like a neat perk for the high-end EVs, though! Maybe in the future Chevy will add something like that. For now, the app is your best bet.
