Tried parking assist for the first time in my Equinox EV (brand new, only 120 miles), and let’s just say… not impressed.

First attempt: Nearly hit another car and ended up diagonal across two lanes.
Second attempt: Aligned better, but then pulled forward again before reversing to park properly.

I wanted to get this checked out, but using Chevy’s online service scheduler, the soonest appointment is three days out, and they expect me to either get a ride or wait.

Do Chevy dealerships offer shuttle or van services for service appointments? I’d rather not be stranded. Anyone else having issues with parking assist, or is mine just glitching?

FYI, the Equinox doesn’t actually detect parking lines, it relies on nearby objects like walls or other vehicles to gauge its position. It uses ultrasonic sensors and radar to recognize the space, so for it to work properly, there needs to be something next to the spot to help it ‘’see’’ where to park.
