Alright, so we all love our electric rides, right? but let's get real for a sec, range anxiety is a thing. I'm curious, has anyone actually been stranded with a dead battery?? I'm talking realworld horror stories, not just theoretical worries.

Think totally out of juice miles from nowhere, chargers out of order, unexpected detours eating up your range…. you get the idea.

Share your worst experiences - bad planning, faulty chargers, unexpected weather, whatever caused your EV nightmare. Let’s trade tips on dodging these messes!

I’ve had one bad experience with a faulty charger when I was already low on range. It wasn’t fun, but it taught me to always have backup options and check charger status ahead of time. EVs are great, but range anxiety is real if you’re not careful. It’s all about planning and not cutting it too close!

I’ve never been stranded, but close calls happened due to unexpected detours and faulty chargers. Key tip: always have a backup charging plan and track weather conditions.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m worried about! Like, I totally get that planning is key, but what if you do everything right and still end up totally screwed? You check the charger status, map out your stop, and then BAM - the station’s down, no service to check for another, and the nearest one is just barely out of reach. Then what? Call roadside? Flag down some random good Samaritan? Push the car? There’s gotta be a backup plan beyond “just plan better,” right??

Oh man, I feel you on those close calls! And yep, the weather really messes with things too. Last winter, I didn’t realize how quickly the cold drained my range, and I ended up rushing to the next charging stop. Its nuts how fast everything can go from smooth sailing to total panic mode!!

We’ve had cords at the bank of chargers cut-this isn’t that unusual. some chargers not working at all but no one f/u on them working or not. Once, at AZ Desert Museum in the middle of a nat’l park, the charger (out of three) that worked only gave us a short amount of time, then shut off. No explanation, no one to call, the museum wasn’t responsible, left in the void. The plug share app and/or our Chevy EV charger screen don’t have the up to date info. We’ve driven around a lot and had numerous disappointments. I have range anxiety something fierce, my husband is ok with “that’s just how it is”….
