Can I use the equinox power plug for emergencies?

Hey all, I am just wondering whether anything can be plugged into the Equinox power plug. Would I need to install an inverter or could I use the car as a backup in an emergency to run things like a fridge or sump pump?

Yes, it can, but you have to be careful, though. I know there is an amperage limit.
