Trying to figure out the Equinox EV's range. GM quotes 319 miles for FWD and 285 miles for AWD, but throws in a wheel size variable with the bigger 21" rims. Anyone know for sure which setup (FWD/AWD, 19"/21") they used for those official range numbers?
My money's on the 19" wheels on the FWD trims (2LT likely) for the best figures. Tesla folks saw a 26-mile drop at 75mph going from 19" to 21", so the Equinox might follow suit (though numbers could vary).
If that 26-mile loss holds true, then a 21" FWD might get around 293 miles (319-26) and a 21" AWD might be closer to 259 miles (285-26) at 75mph.
Anyone with inside info on the official test setup?
