Is the forward collision warning light supposed to stay on?

Is it normal for the yellow forward collision warning light to always stay on? The manual suggests it should only light up during a warning, so now I’m not sure if something’s off.

No, it’s not normal for the forward collision warning light to stay on continuously. It should only come on briefly during an actual warning. I’d recommend having it checked out.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Would it be related to a sensor malfunction or something else?

if you have forward collision setting set to "off" or "alert only" the telltale will remain illuminated. Make sure you have them set to "Alert and Brake" and verify light goes out

Thanks, I'll check the setting and switch it to "Alert and Brake." That might be why the yellow light stays on.
