    UNRELIABLE CHARGE READING

I haven't had the exact same experience but I've heard of similar strange charging issues. Sometimes software glitches or temperature changes can affect the readings

Glad it got fixed! Sure GM/Chevy updates are hit or miss but hopefully they can keep getting better. To be continued on smoother updates

Would You Drive a Hydrogen Equinox

I’m not sure it’ll happen anytime soon. Some big companies have already moved away from it. Plus, the tank needs to be built really well since hydrogen has to be dense to generate energy, which means it needs to hold 10,000 psi. I’d be nervous sitting on that tank! Haha!

    The 2025 motor

Do you really think the 2025 Equinox EV model has a different motor than the 2024? I’m leaning towards it being the same motor, just modified for more power and tested differently to meet certification requirements with slightly higher specs. Thoughts?

    Equinox EV 2LT vs 2RS

I really don’t understand GM’s design choices. Unless I take a closer look at the back, I can’t tell the Trax, Blazer, and Equinox apart. If I spotted one on the road, I’d probably assume it was a Blazer. Maybe it’s just me, though.

Do splash guards affect the EV range?

If the car came with splash guards I would definitely have them put on, you’re not going to notice a difference with them off other than more dirt and mud from the road splashed on your paint.

Should you buy a 2024 GM EV or wait for the 2025 model?

I believe the urgency is actually the other way around. I’m looking for an EV with a CCS connector to replace my last gas-powered car, so I can avoid dealing with a cumbersome adapter when charging at home.

Is RS AWD with SuperCruise worth the hype?

I also went for an RS with Supercruise. That feature is what got me interested in GM. I wouldn’t buy a car without it. To me, it's the future of driving.

Trying to Maximize your Ev’s Battery life?

There's a lot of talk about how DC fast charging might affect battery life. Some say it's harmful, but recent studies suggest it's not as bad as initially thought. Generally, it's best to charge between 20-80% and aim to keep your battery around 50% most of the time. Avoid leaving it below 20%...

    Tesla adapter

You can grab the adapter through the MyChevy app too. Just go to charge settings, then public charging, and you'll find the order link. Don’t forget to turn on the Tesla network in the app—hit your profile, go to charging, and you'll see the option to activate it. Once that's done, the link will...
