Hello folks! I am in the market for a 1st gen Equinox EV and wanted to know if anyone else had concerns before making the leap. I get that EVs have fewer moving parts than traditional cars, but I am still a bit wary about any potential issues. Given that GM has been around the EV block for a while, I am hoping they have ironed out most of their problems. And since Equinox is built on the Ultium platform, which supports other models, I am curious if that gives it a bit more reliability. So, did anyone else feel uneasy before buying a first-gen model?

I understand your concerns about buying a first-gen model; there's always some risk involved. Given the bad press around the Blazer EV, GM likely took extra care with the Equinox, and being built on the Ultium platform should help with reliability.

I had a first gen car twice, and I can assure you I had no problems with them. Of course, sh*t can happen, and sometimes recalls can appear, but that can be a good thing. After all, the manufacturer is taking care of their new vehicles, and this is a way for them to gather data and release updates and upgrades.
