it feels like I can’t go a day without stumbling across some negative news about EVs, and honestly, it’s starting to get to me. I read one story about passengers being trapped in their EV because the battery died, and another claiming it costs as much or more to charge an EV as it does to fill up a gas tank. Then there’s the one about Tesla drivers stranded in the Chicago winter, and today I saw an article claiming half of EV owners are going back to ICE vehicles.

I’m trying to take all this with a grain of salt because a lot of it feels like clickbait aimed at getting reactions from the uninformed. it’s tough when these stories start planting doubt. my wife has started questioning whether I should go through with the 3LT Equinox EV when it arrives.

I’d love to hear how others here deal with this kind of negativity. Do you shrug it off as misinformation, or does it make you second-guess your decision? And for those who already own an Equinox EV or another EV, what’s your real-world experience been like?

I understand how negativity can get to you. Personally, I focus on real-world experiences from other owners and remind myself that the benefits of EVs outweigh occasional challenges

The transition to EVs necessitates a shift in mindset, and some people, unfortunately, resist change. I appreciate how this forum has kept the focus on EV-related discussions rather than political arguments.

The current climate of misinformation and negativity makes it difficult to separate fact from fiction. It is critical to rely on personal experiences and evidence-based information rather than simply accepting online narratives.

EVs represent progress and innovation, and they are here to stay. Don't let negative rhetoric keep you from discovering the benefits of electric mobility.
