Fortunately for anyone who may be considering purchasing an Equinox EV, all trim levels of the next model should qualify for the federal electric vehicle tax credit in the United States, which offers a maximum savings of $7,500 off MSRP. Ultium battery and chassis technologies, which GM developed in-house, will be used in the assembly of the Equinox EV in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Motor Trend was informed by GM that the 2LT FWD and 1LT FWD models have respective projected post-credit MSRPs of $35,795 and $27,495 after credit.

Finally, some good news. Ive been wondering about the tax credit that the government was talking about when someone switches or buys an electric car. It was one of the reasons why I even considered buying an EV even though the base price is more expensive than gas-powered vehicles. Aside from the fact that it has cheaper maintenance costs of course.
